Painting wise, I can paint competition level ( that liche ), uber-tabletop level ( the warjack ), and "Masses of grunts" level.
I'd rather start with individual figs at first before moving on to units, so each line has a photo of one painted figure.
I might take you up on that. If I end up doing the photos the unpainted miniatures for the store I'll have then left over. Originally I wanted customers to paint up their minis and use them, but that hasn't really worked out as I hoped. We used to have the 'hellswords' which was a group of painters.
Mind you I didn't implemented the 'paint it!' idea. It's up but nothing has been tagged. I could use the left over miniatures for that?
Light tents are nice. You could get two small cheapo flashes positioned on either side of the miniature, and 'slave' them so they trigger when the camera popup flash does. This will wipe out most deep shadows. But then, you'll have to be more fiddly with the camera settings because the flashes aren't smart or hooked up to camera. Not impossible though.
