Last week end, we had organized a local convention called JFJ, here in my town. This year, i've been involved and i was in charge of the exclusive miniature (mainly because i couldn't find a sculptor available...). I gave it a shot, in 3D, and here it is, Mademoiselle Marie :
After i've send my zbrush file to the printer (GRX), all details under 25 microns were automaticaly removed. The software usualy fixes the mesh as well, as it contains holes, overlaps, etc.
Here is what the master looks like when printed. The "mould maker" printed it multiple times, and made one mould of each of them for the serials. The resin casts are pretty much exactly the same quality as the masters :
I've been surprised he told me he could mold it in one piece, despite the spaces between the arms and the head, and in the area with the strap. In the end, no strap were broken, no flashes, just some rare bubbles in the legs (a couple broke...).
And finaly, the painted version...
It has been both my first miniature, and my first release... Challenging work ! But it went pretty well, and i learned a lot, so i'm happy with it. Hope you like it !
