Maybe it's just the similar paint schemes on all of the miniatures, but i feel like there is too much of an overall theme to them. I think having multiple sculptors working on this will make each race pretty unique from the others, as they should be.

Yeah. They were all fairly static poses, and we didn't get much input on them for some reason. I wasn't involved in the first batch, but the prototypes for the second batch came out nicer. Hopefully this weekend and I can get a shot of them and post it.
Thanks Scragglefoot but I've seen them already. besides i'm after much more specific information and images about the phentari, their anatomy/biology, culture, clothing and technology the native environment they evolved in, their history etc. i understand they are a predominantly malevolent race of molusc like beings with 4 main tentacles and a pair of leg like appendages, that have a vaguely humanoid silhouette. use augmetics to increase their agility and like taking trophies. but I have a lot of questions for example Do they have a skeleton or are they soft bodied? What is the layout for there feeding\breathing apparatus? Is there a specific look or aesthetic to their culture? What are the common phentari character types and classes? what is their preferred weaponry and style of combat?

Borak, I'll try and post an art reference PDF for the Phentari. They do have a skeleton in most of their body. Their favorite food is human, and they are centuries old enemies with the Eridani. The Eridani and Phentari are both methane breathers and sometimes have masks on if they are in an oxygen environment, but usually both get an implant called a methane injection port so they can do away with the mask.
they're nasty and feed off of the fear of thier victims. very militaristic society. I bought the galactic underground 2 pdf and there's a long story about thier races' arch hero, 'the General' very nasty creatures. I can't figure out how they'd be allowed to live as part of the alliance, if they are constantly killing and eating the other members. There are a bunch that are galaxtic outlaws.

Earlier someone mentioned Uncle Ernie's and Humpty Dumpties. We're currently revising Uncle Ernie's with new artwork and new stats. Some of it is done, so if you ahve a creature in mind you'd like to try let me know and if there is art, I can post it, and if not maybe whip up a sketch.
Humpty Dumpties (HDs)are detailed in the Engines of War book. They are large mechanized armor suits calledd Ultra-Armor, sort of akin to "mechs." Players get extensive training and cybernetic brain implants to be HD pilots. They climb in and generally sit in a fetal position and all of the armors movements are translated via brain input; their arms and legs never move. They were mainly designed for combat with Arachnids or where air support is unavailable. Very expensive too.

I have an actual photo of Ernie in his labcoat. I shot it as reference for the new cover of the book. If someone did a mini of him I think he would crap a brick! How awesome would that be? I'll post it when I get home.

Phentari are tolerated in the Alliance because their fleet and military are powerful and the Alliance needs their help. They help keep the Eridani in line as well, since the Eridani think all of the member races are inferior primitives worthy only of slavery or extermination. They have an attitude problem.

To be honest the whole book got me quite excited :-) the main two is the furbl muncher thought it would go quite well with the Furbl that Ferk is making the other was the Airbourne Guillotine had lots of mental images of it doing hit and run attacks and causing devastation, all the arachnids got my imagination going thou :-)
but i love the variation of "monsters" in that book from the massive "sucks-2bu" to the tiny death lice and also the ones that aren't monsters like the Celebrim trader i recommend the book to anyone and everyone!
when is the book coming out? i think ill have to invest in the new edition.
the reason i mentioned Humpty dumpties was i wanted some info or pics of the armor that might last a round against some of the creatures!
