So, as I mentioned in the intro thread, I am looking to get back into miniatures. Especially sculpting, which is one of the most fun aspects of this hobby for me.
Here is something that I have started working on:
This fellow is a reintroduction to sculpting in general, and my first ever use of polymer clay. He is sculpted in a 50/50 mix of Fimo Soft and Fimo Classic.
I find that I am enjoying the polymer clay quite a bit. Shannon here is meant to be ogre-sized. He will be using a gatling laser cannon that is not shown.
I am pretty happy overall with the cloth work, but his head seems like it might be too big still.
Here is a Space Marine truescale conversion that I started:
He is converted using Magic Sculpt and a Magic Sculpt + the blue part of Kneadatite mix.
I am pretty happy with this guy, maybe except the fact that he is so static. I guess that is inherent in the base figure though (A0BR Terminator).
I always welcome comments, criticism, critique, and suggestions, so please let 'em rip.
Thanks for looking, and sorry for the somewhat crappy pictures. I only have my cellphone to work with for pics for now.
Edit: At some point in the near future, I plan to do a redesign of the Chronopia miniatures game (setting/art/miniatures) as a creative exercise. I will definitely be posting that up and looking for feedback on it.
