Door looks nice, my only crit is the metal strips on the doors are noramally part of the hinge on that style of doors, so the left side should be extended to the edge of the door. Still a really nice door though, the stonework and wood grain has come out brilliantly

Finaly some presentable stuff finished recently...
It's a defense point, objective point, capture point or something in this taste, has a base size of a dreadnought's base, so yea it's rather "big", i think it fits space marine sized minis (and that's the obvious purpose )
Round base and "concrete" base in fimo classic, sand bags and gun parts in magic sculpt (fantastic epoxy putty, workable with water, dries very hard, a bit like milliput, but looks and feel more plastic, more smooth : lovely). Bits of green stuff, and plastic card work for the gun (i'm totaly new to that too).
painted version :
Quite simple stuff overall, but really fun to make

Sorry I have not been around. I worked till 8:30Pm last night and went in very early morning. Has been a trend right now. Anyway, the gun looks very good and your getting better each time.
Try some humans next, your control of the material is good. Now to learn anatomy and you will be in charge.

First time using supersculpey firm, very dry, dusty, hardly get smooth, the more i knead the more it crumbles etc... i wasn't able to make it workable for character sculpting but it worked quite well for pieces of architecture :
This is due to the sculpy being old. Sometimes you get the old stuff, that was on the shelf for too long from the shops. If you have the possibility to buy it in a store always go for the store stuff instead of the web shops. I had two packs of old sculpy and it is a abismal difference to a fresh pack.
Nice sculpting btw keep it on !
What is best in life ? -Sculpt your enemies, see them baking before you and hear the lamentation of their putties !
Oh that's an old post Yea i guess my SSF is very old. thanks for confirming ! It was bought directly in a store. I believe SSF sells badly in france, because, as far as i know, SSF is an american brand, and it seems to be the main (if not the only) competitor against Fimo, witch is german, and can therefore be found very easily in art stores in france (SSF is found only in specialized stores). Maybe that explains why blocs of SSF end up drying on store's shelves in france... Anyway i think i've found a way to bring it back to life mixing it with fimo, 75% sculpey 25% fimo classic or fimo soft. It mixes surprisingly well. I'll soon get some mix quick for fimo, i'll try to mix some to SSF and will keep you posted if it works or not
