How's the melonhead going? I saw the head of a push pin the other day and I thought, wow that would be a good skull for those melon head guys. You should post some pics of the process, for your own and for us. Thanks for the Orion discription, I sculpted a pretty sick bagpipe. That's right a, "Pretty sick bagpipe".
Oh, and i wanted to ask you, what's the deal with hand to hand combat in this game? are cold steel weapons a typical and vital part of game play? Just wondering if that should be a major element of my sculpts. Thanks. (Not sure what that is supposed to suggest)

Unfortunately i still don't have Internet at home so i cant show any photos :-(
I have however finished the nude melon head and am hoping to get it casted tomorrow then i can play around with different outfits and position's (not like that!!) I've almost finished the basic male and female Fott as well i think i made the female to tall thou so might have to make a new one :-(
I got another book from amazon (only a fiver!!) which expands a few more races including the fott so that has been quite handy :-)
Hand to hand wise in the main rule book there are rules for all types of sword (Broad, Long, Short + Two handed) and Axe (Hand + Throwing), Daggers bows etc then they have the futuristic stuff Energy mace and light swords
for gun-play they have everything from a Crossbow to nuclear effect weaponry!!!
Looking forward to seeing a pretty sick bagpipe :-)
oh and Orion's keep Furbls as pets and from what I've read Furbls dance all the time and pickpockets!!
Very interesting, I thought about sculpting one of them little things. maybe that well be my next one. Thanks for letting me know this stuff so i don't have to breakdown and buy a book. maybe if we knew we were going to make any progre$$ on these i'd invest.

Managed to make a mold of old melon head at the weekend even thou my silicon didn't work ended up using a substance that was a bit like green stuff but was alot more flexible when dry and so far I've made two good casts and one terrible one i just have to get used to the resin and find a better mixer then a shot glass!!
will try and start green stuffing details and clothes on the ones I've done I'm going for a "ming the merciless" "combat nut" and poss "pirate Capitan" ill see how it goes :-D
my shouting at Talk-Talk (Phone and Internet provider) are not going well they keep telling me to phone back hopefully ill have the Internet soon and be able to show you guys photos

Yeah more like they are giving me the run around!
Yeah I've make a blank master just the torso legs and head then I'm casting it to make sure all the variations are the same size but can pose there arms and make there faces differently
I don't drink alcohol so its not really a waste its was in the collection of stuff i looted when i moved.
If you see the attached file i made a quick reference for all of the races with there hight the hight of the min the image from the website and the blurb on the the website might be useful for you or anyone else
if you check the forum page I linked people wanted a mixture of armed and unarmed models and armored and unarmored the main rulebook has some good drawing of some of the different armor ill try and scan it in when i can.
Thanks man, I think i'll order the book today. its worth it. I might sculpt a jeddiac(?) preist now that i look at those races again. I don't really drink either, When i was in scotland it seemed a capital crime for someone to admit they were british and didn't drink.

Its best to do some research before you buy it as to get all the races you have to buy 5 books! and check out ebay, amazon and abebooks for cheaper copies.
That might have just been in Scotland I find when you tell someone you don't drink they think its for religious reasons or your an alcoholic who doesn't want to fall off the wagon again! I just didn't enjoy it so i stopped i much prefer driving :-)
I'm not sure ill do the three i had in my head "ming" "Gun-nut" and "pirate" then maybe ill do an armored one an injured one a bionic one etc ill just try everything to get the most characterful models and while i do that ill be making Fott nudes as well got the idea for a whole redneck family!!
when are you gonna put photos of the completed ones up?
That really is a good idea. Redneck rabbits have a lot of potential. I've been reworking some minor parts on the three. alot of stupid stuff that takes a long time. fingers and guns etc. I'll work on it more this evening and I think i'll post some pics so people (essentially you!) can comment and i can still make some changes if need be. Did you ever notice if furbls have tails? I started the underbodies of a robot character that i've wanted to do for some time now, a furbl and a ikrini, but now i may do a Minotaur ssdc character priest guy instead. I've never done any non-humans or at least anything really non-human.
I'm too impatient i think to cast multiples and do variations.

To anyone working on the Fott. We revised the way they look in the edition that came out in 2009. They look a little meaner now, and more like a genetics experiment (which is what they are). I can post an image to help.
